Pack 306 strives to keep the cost of scouting reasonable through our fundraising events and campaigns. Fundraising also teaches the boys the value of money, salesmanship, and a deeper sense of pack involvement. We ask parents/guardians to make our fundraising efforts a priority by committing your boys engagement in these events.
Pack 306 has been invited to feed the mountain bikers of teambums.com at their annual bike rally held at TVSR. We set up a BBQ and sell pulled pork sandwiches, burgers, and dirks to the hungry rides after their race. This is a great opportunity to see a mountain bike race. It is also our first fundraiser that allows Pack 306 pay for materials for the Fall scouting season.
The popcorn season is a fundraising campaign driven by our Mohegan Council. This is an important fundraiser that benefits both our council and our pack. Nearly one third of the money earned goes to council. Once third will go directly to your boy(s) to pay for summer camp or to purchase scouting items at the council store. This year Pack 306 is giving the amount earned back to the boy that took the time to sell. On top of this, our boys can earn cool swag (click here to see). Starting in September, much of the popcorn will be on hand for your boy(s) to sell directly door to door. Our pack or Dens will also hold opportunities for the boys to sell sell together. See more information in this presentation from council.
