Book ’em!

Our Cub Scouts got a chance to visit the Rutland Police Station last weekend.  The Officers and dispatchers took us on a tour of the entire facility, booked our Scouts (troublemakers that they are 🙂 and helped many of them toward their rank advancement by answering all of their questions.  At the end, paramedics from the Fire Station came by and invited us for an impromptu “ride” on the fire trucks.

A HUUUUUUUUGE 306 Shout-out to our public servants for the work they do and for their hospitality!

2014 Mohegan Council Turkey Shoot

The Arrow of Light and Webelos 1 Dens attended the Annual Turkey Shoot at Treasure Valley on Saturday, 11/22.  The boys took part in some Archery in addition to shooting Air Rifles and Slingshots.  We have some marksmen in Pack 306!

Pack 306 at the Rutland Fire Department

Pack 306 visited the Rutland Fire Department on Sunday.  We had a guided tour of the Firehouse, a lesson on fire safety and 911 emergencies, a look at the trucks and the specialized equipment that our firefighters use, and a lot of honorary Pack 306 firefighters 🙂  Many thanks to the Rutland Fire Department and especially firemen Justin and Dan for taking time out of their day to teach our Scouts about this important public service and help them with some of their achievements.  At our next Den meeting, we’ll be putting together a special Thank You gift.
