Webelos Woods is This Weekend!

Just a reminder to our Webelos Scouts that Webelos Woods is THIS WEEKEND, October 3-4.  This is an overnight campout for Webelos I and AOL Scouts.  The schedule for the Pack is below.  Please let us know ASAP if there are any dietary restrictions or food allergies for your Scout, as we will need to plan food accordingly.

8:00 AM- 10:00 AM Cub Scouts Registration – East Lodge

10:30 AM- Cub Scout Unit Leaders Meeting

11:00 AM- 11:30 AM- Lunch Group A – East Lodge

11:40 AM- 12:10 PM- Lunch Group B – East Lodge

12:20 PM- 12:50 PM- Lunch Group C – East Lodge

1:10 PM- Opening Ceremonies- Boonesville Plain

1:25 PM- Activity Stations, Midway, Trading post Open

  • 1:25 PM- 2:00 PM- Station 1 – Various Locations
  • 2:10 PM- 2:55 PM- Station 2- Various Locations
  • 3:05 PM- 3:50 PM- Station 3- Various Locations
  • 4:00 PM- 4:45 Pm- Station 4- Various Locations

5:00 PM- 7:00 PM- Dinner (in campsite)

7:30 PM- 2015 Webelos Woods Show- “Tending the Fire!” – Council Ring

11:00 PM- Lights out

7:00 AM- 8:30 AM- Breakfast (in campsite – provided by the Pack)

9:00 AM- All Faith Service- Council Ring

10:00 AM- Program Stations, Midway, Trading Post Open

10:00 AM- 10:45 Station 5- Various Locations

10:55 AM- 11:40 Station 6- Various Locations

11:50 AM- 12:50 PM- Picnic Lunch -Boonseville Plains (Provided by the Pack)

1:00 PM- 1:45 PM-  Station 7- Various Locations

2:10 PM- Closing Ceremonies- Boonseville Plains

3:00 PM- Units depart/ Check out

Packing List

Please let us know as soon as possible if you are not able to provide any of the necessary gear for your Scout.

  • Tent – the Pack will be bringing the “Taj Mahal” tent.  Scouts are free to bring their own if they prefer, but the “Taj” can fit all our Webelos comfortably.
  • Sleeping Bag – cool night anticipated with lows in the 40’s – a 20-degree bag is recommended so everyone sleeps comfortably.
  • Sleeping pad (recommended) – a closed-cell foam sleeping pad for comfort and ground insulation
  • Jacket – Keep the weather in mind.  It’s looking like a wet weekend 🙂
  • Fleece Layer
  • Base Layer – synthetic wicking fabrics are best
  • Warm socks x2 – again, given the weather, synthetic or smartwool are preferred
  • Boots
  • Mess Kit – tupperware will do
  • Knit Hat
  • Ball Cap
  • Headlamp/Flashlight
  • Water Bottle
  • Pocket Knife (WC)
  • Day Pack
  • Snack
  • Toiletries
